Should children wear masks?
Children under 2 years of age are exempt if they are unable to keep their masks on; though usually you should train your child to bear with it if you must travel with the infant.
Older children will be required to wear masks at almost everywhere they visit, so early training to wear a mask is recommended. While some establishments may allow children up to a certain age without masks, for their safety it is highly encouraged to wear them or stay at the hotel or back at home if they cannot.
Cancellations before the trip for Force Majeure
All trips are non-refundable. If you show medical proof for your cancellation, you may be entitled to a partial refund or re-scheduling voucher. Our staff may contact your medical institution to validate your claim prior to approving your cancellation.
Cancellations during or after the trip
All trips are non-refundable. If you request of a cancellation because of covid-19, you may be entitled to a small partial refund, depending on how many days into your tour your request was made.
Please keep in mind that COVID Sanitation fee will be deducted from any possible refund you may receive and in some cases, you may have to pay the difference. This is to ensure the safety of staff and visitors where you have been in contact through contact tracing and administrative costs for the operation.
It is extremely rare as all passengers are required to have a pre-test showing negative for covid 10 days prior to departure. For this reason we highly encourage you to follow all International Covid and other Health & Safety Regulations.
In the event of a new outbreak of this or any other virus or disease, you will receive a trip voucher to return at a later date, should your trip be forcefully cancelled by our government. Partial refunds may be possible in some cases. You'll need to contact our office to see if you qualify.
Is the Pandemic under control in Ecuador?
Every public and private establishment in the country follows strict guidelines to keep the virus in check. Police are ready to take action for people who infringe the laws and our frontiers will be closed to those who wish to ignore them.
Almost all citizens are mindful of the risks and consequences, thus allowing us all to return to a sense of normalcy while retaining safety protocols. We ask that you do the same, to ensure the virus gets eradicated or contained until a vaccine is internationally approved and administered.
